Watch Collector Hats

Watch collecting is a well-off, mostly male hobby with a famously hard-to-shop-for gift problem and a very online culture built around checking in on the pieces they already own. These hats speak that language back. The basic badges name the hobby and the identity plainly, WATCH COLLECTOR and WATCH GUY, while WRIST CHECK and DESK DIVER borrow the hobby's own shorthand for showing off a piece or wearing a tool watch on dry land. IT'S AN HOMAGE is the stock defense every collector gives for a watch that looks suspiciously like a much more expensive one, and ROLEX WAITLIST SINCE 2021 names the dealer-allocation wait that has become a running joke in the hobby's own forums. The three longer lines carry the collector's specific self-awareness: being late to something while insisting the watch itself keeps perfect time, owning more watches than wrists to put them on, and checking a watch for no reason beyond the pleasure of looking at it. Fountain Pen is the nearest live collection, another analog-luxury collecting hobby, but nothing in it shares a word of this vocabulary, and no live design anywhere mentions a watch, a wrist, or horology at all.
