Inbox Zero Achieved Once August 2019 Hat
Two proud office tribes share one inbox, and a 2015 YouGov survey of Americans put numbers on both: 22% had zero unread emails, 6% had more than 1,000, and 53% said 1,000 unread would bother them extremely. The Atlantic summed up the split in 2019: there are two types of people, those with hundreds of unread messages and those who cannot relax until the inbox is cleared out. Inbox Zero itself comes from a July 23, 2007 Google Tech Talk by Merlin Mann, whose zero meant the time your brain spends in the inbox, not the message count, a detail any true zealot will correct.
These hats speak for both camps. The badges, INBOX ZERO and UNREAD EMAILS, name the tribes. The sentence designs go further: a hat that reports 47,382 unread with blood pressure fine, a red dot that does not control the wearer, an inbox zero achieved once in August 2019 and recorded like a moon landing, a zealot's title, and a League of Conscientious Objectors for the unread faction. Inbox Zero already sells as a motto on Redbubble dad hats, and the two strongest sentence lines get a second colorway.
This collection is about the unread count itself, a different subject from Per My Last Email Hats and Could Have Been An Email Hats, which cover email tone and meetings. Every design is custom embroidered on an unstructured dad hat, ready for an office gift exchange.
