SantaCon Hats

SantaCon began on December 20, 1994, in San Francisco, when the Cacophony Society sent out 38 "Cheap Suit Santas" who rented a bus, held a snowball fight and crashed corporate holiday parties. Today it is a December bar crawl in cities across the country, and New York's usually lands on the second Saturday of the month; in 2025 that was December 13. Organizers keep a quasi-official "Santa Code" that tells revellers to spread joy, be friendly to bar staff and leave no litter. The event has earned its share of "No Santas" signs on bar doors too, and local recaps of the 2025 East Village crawl called it tamer than past years. These SantaCon hats speak for the wearer who shows up anyway, in the full suit. Two badges carry the search terms, and the sentence designs borrow the Santa Code's own mock-earnest rulebook voice: a dress code with no exceptions, a care tag on a suit worn to nine crawls and never washed, a sleigh that turned out to be an Uber XL. BAD SANTA, a phrase that already sells widely on shirts, has a place here as well, and two of the strongest lines come in a second colorway. Every design is custom embroidered on an unstructured dad hat. Wear one to your crawl, or give one to the friend who owns the suit.
