Romantasy is the genre pulling people back into physical bookstores — foil covers, sprayed edges, dragons on the endpapers, tables built for it at the front of every shop. BookTok made it, and in 2026 the same readers got restless and started moving toward darker, morally worse men: dark romance, villain romance, antiheroes with a body count. Book people buy merch. They annotate, they collect editions, they carry the tote. What they have not had is a hat that admits what is actually going on — a situationship with someone who does not exist, a TBR pile that is now a municipal fire risk, and a formal request not to be perceived mid-chapter. Each design is set to match what its line is doing. ROMANTASY is arched in a slab face and stitched in gold, because that is how the books themselves are dressed. DARK ROMANCE takes a reverse arch in red on black. The confessions are italic serif, the policies are upright serif, and the one about the dragon is gold on forest green, which are hoard colors.
