A Georgia Tech survey of 379 Roomba owners found a quarter had named theirs, and a Shark survey in the UK found over half of robot vacuum owners name theirs, with 63 percent saying it has a distinct personality. The stories write themselves: the Roomba that gets stuck under the buffet and calls out "Error!", the one that slipped out an open door in Georgia in 2023 and was found two days later under leaves, with the TikTok passing 27 million views, and the "Roomba Cats" videos that have been circulating since 2008. These robot vacuum and Roomba hats speak for the owner. ROOMBA and ROBOT VACUUM are the badges, since Roomba is a brand name and robot vacuum is the generic term. The sentence designs cover the rescue from under the couch, the not-stuck-just-exploring defense, the cat at the controls, a farewell for an escapee, the thank you said out loud and the machine that works harder than its owner. Wearable copy is a gap here: most of the demand so far lives in covers and decals. Every design is custom embroidered on an unstructured dad hat. Wear one for the household's resident robot, or give one to the person who talks to theirs.
