If I Can't Fix It I Don't Own It Hat
Right to Repair is a movement with real law behind it. The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act of 1975 means a warranty cannot be voided just because an owner opened or repaired a device, and the FTC has gone after Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo over warranty stickers, while iFixit ran #voidifremoved. Texas signed its own electronics repair law in 2025 as the seventh state, after New York, Minnesota, California, Colorado, Oregon and Washington, and PIRG counted more than a quarter of Americans covered from January 1, 2026. The movement's placards add the spirit: screws, not glue, and in a disposable society, to repair is to rebel.
These right to repair hats are for the people who read that and nodded. Two badges name the movement and the tinkerer. The sentence designs carry the bits: letting out the magic smoke, the sticker that said void if removed, and the warning that says no user serviceable parts inside. I VOID WARRANTIES is a saturated phrase on shirts, mugs and patches, and it earns a second colorway here.
Every design is custom embroidered on an unstructured dad hat. Give one to the friend who opens everything, or wear it to the next teardown.
