Puppeteer: The Hand Behind the Legend Hats

Puppetry gives the operator plenty to manage before a character says a word. Larrikin Puppets describes monitor puppetry as performing overhead while watching a television monitor to check framing, eye focus and lip sync. In South Coast Repertory's production interview, Joe Gallina discusses operating three of four Audrey II puppets and explains why larger mouths require different timing. The Center for Puppetry Arts distinguishes hand puppets from marionettes, which hang by strings from a controller. These puppeteer hats turn that relationship between human and character into a voice of its own. PUPPETEER and PUPPET MAKER name the performer and the builder. PUPPET MASTER supplies the grand title, while MY PUPPET'S OPINIONS ARE SUSPICIOUSLY SIMILAR TO MINE and THE PUPPET SAID IT NOT ME let the character handle the consequences. OOPS I BOUGHT MORE PUPPETS keeps the wording of an existing shirt offer documented in the research. Every design is custom embroidered on a dad hat. The opinions confession and the puppet-said-it denial each come in two colorways. Flat layouts keep the longer jokes readable; the final strings design preserves its lowercase puppeteer aside. Choose a badge for a puppet builder or a joke for the human who knows exactly whose opinions those are.
