Everyone either steals pens or guards the good one. A Paper Mate survey of 1,000 employees found that 100 percent admitted taking a coworker's pen, and a pen is about twice as likely to go missing as a stapler, a pair of scissors or tape. Of those who took one, 78 percent called it a mistake, 22 percent knew exactly what they were doing, and half did it because they liked the way it writes. In a YouGov UK poll, pens and pencils were the most commonly stolen item from work, with 38 percent of Brits admitting to swiping one.
These pen thief hats are for the guilty. PEN THIEF is the badge. The rest run on mock-heroic confession: the alibi that the pen came home in a pocket, a ledger of pens returned against pens acquired, a car holding 37 pens from 22 hotels, a recovery group with a relapse, and the claim that any good pen is automatically yours. The pocket alibi and the ledger each get a second colorway.
Fountain Pen is luxury pen enthusiasm and Stationery & Planner is paper. This page is the habit, sticky fingers and a bowl of hotel pens at home. Every design is custom embroidered on an unstructured dad hat. Give one to the coworker who swears the pen is theirs.
