I'll Get It Back In The Menards Rebate Hat
Menards is the third-largest US home improvement retailer, with 341 stores in 15 states, mostly in the Midwest, and its banjo jingle, "Save Big Money at Menards," came back in 1990 and picked up the nickname Midwest National Anthem. Ray Szmanda played the Menards Guy on television from 1976 to 1998. Those are the pieces of a shared language, and these Menards hats wear it.
The other half of the joke is the rebate. The 11% rebate arrives as a merchandise credit check, in-store credit only, and in December 2025 a multistate settlement of $4.25 million covered how the program was advertised. Anyone who has mailed in a receipt knows the check may come back in six to eight weeks, and some say only about a third of the time. That grudging, loyal, practical voice is what the lines here use.
Badges name the store and its Guy. The sentence designs carry the one-trip-for-milk-eggs-and-a-shed run, the project that takes three trips, and the confident plan to get it all back in the rebate. Two of the strongest lines get a second colorway.
Every design is custom embroidered on an unstructured dad hat. Wear one to the lumber aisle, or give one to the person who owns the jingle.
