Lake America Hats

On August 27, 2026, Executive Order 14422 told federal agencies to start writing "Lake America" where they used to write Lake Ontario. A week later the official hat turned up at $55, Eric Trump posted a photo wearing one, and the internet spent a weekend editing the front panel. Whatever else this story was, it was a hat story. This collection carries the whole argument rather than one side of it. LAKE AMERICA in campaign block caps, on the red crown it was born on and two colorways it wasn't. MAKE AMERICA GREAT LAKES, which is one letter of difference from the most reproduced slogan in American politics and somehow the only version everybody at the cookout can agree on. And then the answer from the other shore: LAKE ONTARIO - NOW AND ALWAYS, the line Premier Doug Ford put on a billboard facing the traffic headed for the border, in red thread on white for reasons that are not subtle. For anyone who would rather not raise their voice, there is a flat serif correction that just restates the name. We are not picking a side here, which is the only honest position for a hat shop. The name on that water predates the Declaration of Independence and will probably outlast the executive order. Until then, both answers are $29.99, which is a good deal less than the official one.
