Krampus Hats

Krampus is the horned, half-goat companion of St. Nicholas who punishes naughty children, and Krampusnacht is the eve of December 5. Gruss vom Krampus postcards date to the 19th century. US popularity rose after the 2015 film Krampus, and American takes cast him as Santa's rival, the Anti-Claus. Now there are Krampus runs and parades across the country: a Krampuslauf 5k and 10k at the Dartmouth Skiway in Lyme, New Hampshire, on December 5, 2026, Krampusnacht in Bremerton on the first Saturday of December, and a Krampus parade at the Des Moines Christkindlmarket. Thirteenth Floor stages its Krampus Haunted Christmas in ten US cities. Retail knows him too, with Krampus Is Coming tees, Merry Krampus sweatshirts and Gruss vom Krampus ornaments all on sale. These hats are for the people who prefer the anti-Santa. KRAMPUS and KRAMPUSNACHT are the plain badges, KRAMPUS IS COMING arches across the front, and GRUSS VOM KRAMPUS borrows the old postcard greeting. The rest treat Krampus as Santa's enforcement arm: the bad cop, the one who got your address after Santa got your letter, the fan club, and the run.
