I Outdrove The Odometer Hat
Toyota UK runs a High Mile Club in which owners earn window stickers at bronze 150,000, silver 200,000, gold 300,000 and green 500,000 miles, entered by posting a photo of the odometer. Volvo's High Mileage Club goes back to the 1960s and its tiers climb to a million miles. Meanwhile the average vehicle on US roads is 12.8 years old in 2025, and passenger cars are 14.5, so a car that keeps going has become a quiet kind of flex.
The owners in the club have a recognizable voice. One TikToker said her car was paid off and she had no interest in a car note. Another said that in Toyota years, 100,000 miles is just getting started. A viral personal-finance post claimed a paid-off 2006 Camry saved its owner over $100,000 in payments. Rep. Rob Wittman drove a 2005 Corolla past 299,000 miles until the odometer stopped changing, and a shop said he had outdriven the microchip's memory.
These High Mileage Club hats put that pride on a cap: the 200K badge, the paid-off beater, the rust holding it together. It is the opposite of the car-payment collection, and it belongs to anyone who plans to drive it until the wheels fall off.
Every design is custom embroidered on an unstructured dad hat.
