Funny Darts Hats

Darts has turned into a real US spectator sport over the last few years, carried by the televised PDC World Championship and a run of teenage prodigies who made a pub game into appointment viewing. Underneath that boom it is still the same bar-league scene it always was: a board in the corner, a pint on the rail, and a caller shouting the score. These hats carry both halves. The two badges open the grid with the sport's own vocabulary - DARTS as the bare claim, and ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY as the caller's shout for a maximum score, the biggest number the game has to offer. GAME SHOT, set as a short arched sign, is the same caller's cue for the dart that ends the leg, and TRIPLE TWENTY names the single highest-value segment on the board as a personal best. The rest of the roster is the bit: hitting everything on the board except the one number that counts, aiming for the dartboard in general rather than any specific wedge of it, treating a bar game with the gravity of a televised final, and playing the whole thing, correctly, with a pint in hand. Every design is custom embroidered on an unstructured dad hat. The two strongest lines, DARTS IS THE ONLY SPORT I PLAY HOLDING A PINT and TRIPLE TWENTY, each get a second colorway - one for league night, one for the one good game you had last Tuesday.
