IT WAS NEVER A PHASE, MOM answers the question every emo kid's parent asked, years later and unapologetically. I'M NOT OKAY I PROMISE and WELCOME TO THE BLACK PARADE borrow directly from the genre's own soundtrack, worn now as a knowing wink rather than a teenage confession.
