In January 2025 the Gulf of Mexico became the Gulf of America and Denali went back to Mount McKinley. In August 2026 Lake Ontario was supposed to become Lake America. Somewhere in between, a hockey phrase about refusing to be pushed off the puck turned into a national posture, and then into the Oxford English Dictionary. This is the other side of that argument, and unlike our Lake America collection it is not pretending to be neutral. ELBOWS UP and CANADA IS NOT FOR SALE are set in campaign block caps, because a rallying cry should look like one. NEVER THE 51ST STATE is for the part nobody found funny after the first week. Then the lake itself gets handled the way a lake deserves: LAKE ONTARIO, LOOK IT UP for the short version, YOU CAN'T RENAME A GREAT LAKE for the flat one, and THE LAKE DOESN'T CARE WHAT YOU CALL IT for the calmest and most annoying one to answer, set in serif on purpose.
