Church Usher & Greeter Hats

Ushers and greeters are among the largest volunteer groups in any church, and they run on tradition. In Black church traditions, usher boards are a role of honor given to highly regarded members, with white gloves, black suits and a soft-spoken manner. Ushers typically arrive hours before service to prepare the programs, envelopes, pews and post assignments, and usher nurses travel from church to church to help at large funerals. Usher days and anniversaries are built around scripture themes, including A Doorkeeper Willing Worker Servant of the Lord, drawn from 2 Chronicles 23. Humor comes from the bulletin board too: the church bloopers line, "In case you arrive after services start, our Ushers will eat latecomers," is widely circulated, and it is the origin of the USHER I EAT LATECOMERS design here. Usher shirts already sell as Keep Calm I'm A Church Usher, Usher Board and Church Usher Hourly Rate, while greeter hats appear as sincere You Belong Here designs. A joke-first hat is the gap. These Church Usher and Greeter hats put the badges first, CHURCH USHER, CHURCH GREETER, HEAD USHER and USHER BOARD, then add the lines from the wearer's side of the door. Every design is custom embroidered on an unstructured dad hat. Good for usher anniversaries, Usher Day and the member who has held the door for decades.
