Bath & Body Works Candle Day is the annual event this hobby is built around. In 2025 it ran December 4-7, with three-wick candles at $9.95 against a regular $24.95-$39.95, more than 180 scents, and a limit of up to 24 per customer. The company said its 2024 Candle Day three-wick sales, lined end to end, would span about 1,700 miles. The 2026 date has not been confirmed, so this page says only early December. The joke has a second half, which is what happens after the haul: candles get saved until the scent fades and the dust arrives. One shopper in a UK blog thread described going to light the Jo Malone candle she had been "saving" before the scent goes. A Delray Beach couple bought over 200 candles in 48 hours during Candle Day and set up a dedicated candle room. These candle hoarder hats are for that shopper.
