Bunco Night Hats

Bunco is a dice game for roughly twelve players at three tables, and in most neighborhood groups the hosting rotates every month. Three dice, a bell and a score sheet are the whole kit: rolling all three to match the round number is a Bunco worth 21 points, and the head table's Bunco ends the round. Most groups also hand out a booby prize to whoever racked up the most losses, and members chip in about $5 a month toward the prizes. The game came to San Francisco in 1855 as a gambling racket, drew raids from Chicago's bunco squad, and settled into living rooms in the early 1980s, where it has been a women's night out ever since. One group's own invite promises "no kids, no husbands, no laundry". These Bunco Night hats are for that room. A plain BUNCO badge opens the page, then the lines go where the table talk goes: the booby prize, the gossip the dice are a cover for, the support group that meets monthly, the player who has sat through 200 Bunco nights and still does not know the rules. KEEP CALM AND BUNCO ON and I CAN GET DICEY ON BUNCO NIGHT already sell on shirts, so each gets a second colorway here. Every hat is custom embroidered on an unstructured dad hat. Wear one to the next rotation, or give one to the friend who hosts when it is her turn.
