Black Cat Hats

Black cats have their own vocabulary, and this collection wears it. The house panther is a black cat that behaves like a small jungle predator at 3am. The void is the same animal when it stares back and wants breakfast. Owners have used both words for years, and a Newsweek story about a black cat owner's video ending with the line "The void said" drew roughly 1.49 million likes on Instagram. The jokes come from life with one. Black cats are hard to photograph because dark fur absorbs light, so owners end up with a picture of two eyes and a rumor. They also cross your path constantly, which makes the old superstition easy to turn around. One widely repeated tally from 2022 put black cats at 22 percent of US shelter cat intake but only 14 percent of adoptions, which is why a pride hat makes sense. National Black Cat Day falls on October 27, started in 2011 by the UK charity Cats Protection. Two plain badges, BLACK CAT MOM and BLACK CAT DAD, carry the searched terms. The rest are sentence designs about voids, breakfast and bad manners, and the two strongest get a second colorway. Every design is custom embroidered on an unstructured dad hat. Wear one for yourself, or give one to the person whose cat has never once been in focus.
