Ancient Egypt & Egyptology Hats

Ancient Egypt never leaves the school curriculum or the museum floor, and its fans are exact about details. The favourite fact is that Cleopatra, born in 69 BCE, lived closer in time to the Apollo 11 landing than to the building of the Great Pyramid. The favourite correction is that the pyramids were not built by aliens: when Elon Musk tweeted "aliens built the pyramids obv" in August 2020, Egypt's government and the archaeologist Zahi Hawass answered him, and the tombs of the pyramid builders found beside the pyramids at Giza show workers who ate plenty of meat. Mummification supplies the rest: the brain removed with a hook through the nose, the liver, lungs, stomach and intestines kept in four canopic jars. These Ancient Egypt hats come from that in-group. Two badges, EGYPTOLOGIST and ANCIENT EGYPT, cover the plain search terms. The rest are the museum-goer's jokes: the organ jars, the way to the mummies, a cat who would be a god, a first celebrity crush on King Tut. THE PYRAMIDS WERE NOT BUILT BY ALIENS and the Cleopatra line each get a second colorway; our searches found no hat or shirt carrying the Cleopatra fact as text. This page is about Egypt itself, not the dig site, which Funny Archaeology covers. Every design is custom embroidered on an unstructured dad hat. Choose one for your next museum trip, or give one to whoever never got over the mummy unit.
