Air Force Hats

The U.S. Air Force was born on September 18, 1947, and the 2026 birthday was its 79th. These hats are for the people who wear that blue: airmen, veterans, and the families who fill the stands at Basic Military Training graduation, which since 2008 has followed an eight-and-a-half-week course ending in the Airman's Run, a coin ceremony and a parade. The badges are plain, U.S. AIR FORCE and AIR FORCE VETERAN, the same wording veterans' museum stores and big retailers already put on caps. AIM HIGH, set in an arch, and NO ONE COMES CLOSE are two of the service's own official slogans. The rest is the humor airmen aim at themselves. CHAIR FORCE is the nickname other branches use to say airmen fight wars from comfortable office chairs, and it turns up in print and on Usenet as early as 1994. FAST NEAT AVERAGE comes from the Air Force Academy, which sells its own trucker hat with the phrase. The sentence designs lean into the same comfort-branch ribbing: a deployment with a pool, a golf course declared mission essential, and 400 Computer-Based Training modules clicked through on Next. Every design is custom embroidered on an unstructured dad hat. CHAIR FORCE and FAST NEAT AVERAGE each come in two colorways.
