80s Hair Metal Hats

Hair metal, also called glam or pop metal, is a heavy metal subgenre with pop hooks that borrowed its look from 1970s glam rock: spandex, lace and headbands replaced denim and leather. The scene centred on Sunset Strip clubs such as The Trip, the Whisky a Go Go and the Starwood, and one of its bands was described as the group that single-handedly kept Aqua Net in business during the 1980s.
